About the space

I have successfully built and optimized the technical side of a state of the art performance studio at CBS RADIO Chicago. It's an 85 capacity live venue in the heart of Chicago, where we host and stream live performances to the web for each CBS radio station in the market.  I am the lead in the operation of the audio, lights, and video.

The system includes a Tricaster 860, (5) Sony PTZ Cameras, 32 Channel Digital Audio Mixer, Shure Wireless RF microphones and Shure PSM 1000 wireless In Ear Monitors, DMX lighting with movers, cans, and Martin controller, 32 Track Pro Tools Rig, and the ability to go live on the air just to name a few features.  This room has become the envy and standard of performance studios at CBS RADIO and I have traveled and consulted in other markets as well.  I am proficient in the operation and maintenance of the entire technical system here, and in those other markets as well.

The facility educates guests in an entertaining environment that includes high impact technology driven experiences, a state-of-the-art theater, artifact-driven exhibits and robust public programming.

ABOUT THE Space

The Lumière Legends Room is a fully equipped live music venue and event space.  I designed, consulted, and installed the entire video system, audio system, and lighting system in the venue.  The room has the ability to capture audio and video recordings of every performance or event in the space, and has become an integral part of the museum as a whole.  Blues musicians not only from the area, but from around the country are showcased in this state of the art music venue.

The Up Close Performance Studio is located in Baltimore, MD.  I worked closely with CBS Baltimore and designed and consulted on the technical systems throughout the room.  It is largely modeled off of the Chicago Performance Stage.

About the Space

The Adorama Live Performance Space is located in the heart of SoHo New York.  The technical aspects model the Blue Cross Blue Shield Performance Stage in Chicago.  I designed and consulted on the Adorama Live Performance Space, as well as trained the New York staff and helped install and configure the system.

I designed and built this mobile video switching system from the ground up.  It was designed so it could be utilized and operated by one person for smaller events, and spread out for larger events like the one pictured above. It can be broken out into 4 different workstations including graphics, video capture & web uplink for video streaming, camera switching, and pre-recorded media playback.

Medicine Man Recording Studio was around for about 15 years before I joined the team.  The studio was gorgeous, but even more importantly, felt even better than it looked.  I eventually worked my way up the food chain and was able to make the studio "my own" and bring the system a bit more up to date than what it was when I initially walked through the door at the age of 19.
