I spent the early years of my career in recording studios around the City of Chicago including:
Chicago Recording Company, Medicine Man Recording Studio, and ESU Records.
Recording and mixing music was only part of the job throughout that time. I was also responsible for investor relations, studio management, studio configuration & maintenance, and client hospitality.

Medicine Man Recording Studio control room circa 2010. The studio first opened its doors in 1992 by owner Cliff Balsamello and was design by Karl Yanchar of Yanchar Design.

About the Console
While at CRC, the Neve console that made it's home in Studio 4 was sold to Electric Lady Studios in New York. I was fortunate enough to have a hand in the breakdown of this infamous console.
